Raid preparation
Raid preparation :
Raid instances are a lot bigger and more complex than ur standard/casual HC. So you're gonna spend quite some time in there. Make sure you have the following sorted out to make the run more efficient & easier for the whole team :
- Repairs : learning new bossfights will cost u some money, make sure you have enough with ya. Also repair BEFORE you start the raid.
- Reagents : ppl die, buffs run out, make sure you have enough of those reagents. I usually have about 80 with me for a standard run, as I need to buff three buffs on each group.
- Gear : If you're a hybrid, don't forget ur healing/dps/tank gear, it always comes in hand!
- Pots : Mana/HP/Rage/Haste pots are the basic pots you take for raiding. Have some spare with ya, as some fights are quite exhausting.
- Oils : You can benefit a lot from oils. Especially the superiour wizard oil for casters & the mana oil for healers.
- Food : Food buffs are WIN. Those extra's really make the difference.
Now, let's suppose that everyone takes the above into account, imagine the extra strenghts u're giving to the raid
Boss tactics :
New bosses are always a bit of a step in the dark. Now, it's vital to make sure that everyone understands what is going on while engaging a certain boss. That doesn't include only the stuff you as a tank/healer/dps need to know, but see it global. It's a lot easier to down a boss if everyone knows what the hell is going on & who's doing what. It'll save you some silly wipes.
http://www.bosskillers.com that contains all the bosstactics/explanation for PreTBC & TBC raids.
http://www.wowwiki.com is a wiki site with a truckload of usefull info & basically covers every aspect of the game.
Addons :
The following addons are VITAL to raid. They should be installed by any class, even if you're a healer. They give you specific & accurate info regarding the current fight.
